It would be a crime to miss the official launch of Dead Ends in Victoria Thursday.
The venue - the Sam McGee room of the Bard and Banker pub on Government Street - is great.
I'll be selling and signing books and catching up with anyone who has some time to spare on Thursday evening, and talking - only a little bit - about writing the book.
My goal is just to have a good party. The event starts anytime after 6:30 p.m., so people can drop in on their way home from work.
Jody Paterson and I have also decided to make the event a small fundraiser. Dead Ends will be on sale for $20, and $8 from every purchase will go to Cuso International and Casita Copan, a great little organization supporting homeless children in our former community of Copan Ruinas, Honduras.
And we're looking forward to connect with people before leaving for new Cuso placements in Managua, Nicaragua.
Come on out. We'd like to see you.
